CRAZY QUILT RETREAT 2009

If you are interested in teaching at the 2009 Crazy Quilt Retreat, please download and fill out the application by clicking here. We generally have one or two "featured teachers" who teach all three days, and several others who teach one or two classes. There is a place on the application to indicate if you are interested in part-time, full-time or either. You will need to include class descriptions and kit fees. If we are not familiar with your work, we will need to see photos of past work. If you are invited to teach we will need photos of your proposed class project or technique as soon as possible. Decisions are made based on balance of techniques and to offer a wide variety of beginning, intermediate and advanced techniques. There are only 15 class slots including the pre- and post-conference classes. We usually receive proposals for three times as many classes as we have slots. If you are not selected, please understand it is not a reflection on you or your work. Hand-work versus machine: Many of the people who come to the conference fly in and cannot bring sewing machines. Most of the people who attend prefer hand-work classes. The only classes we have had to cancel in the last few years have been classes which required a sewing machine. You can request that people bring machines if possible, but be prepared to teach those who use hand-piecing techniques. Deadline: Please apply by June 1, 2008 if you want teach at the 2009 Retreat. We would like to have the schedule set by the time of the 2008 Retreat in July so we can announce it then.
