The Crazy Quilt Society Newsletter

The Society Newsletter is published four times per year. While subscriptions run from January through December, when you join you will get any back issues for the current calendar year. When you join you also get a welcome packet of coupons, samples and other goodies from various merchants to get you started.

Each issue contains articles about contemporary crazy quilters, antique crazy quilts, book reviews and a project in every issue.

Fresh Start Diagram

The Winter Issue 2000 had a "Fresh Start" crazy quilt project by Cindy Brick. It is a strippy quilt to celebrate the new millenium, with crazy patch panels inspired by an 1840's quilt in The James Collection at the International Quilt Study Center in Lincoln, NE. Below are some details of Cindy's quilt in progress.

Cindy suggests piecing the crazy patch strips now, and embellishing throughout the year with stitches, charms, lace and trims that have special significance for you in this first year of the new century.
