2015 Gingham Fruit Basket Crazy Quilt Challenge - We Have Our Winners!

The results of the 2015 Gingham Fruit Basket Challenge have been on hold because we have moved from NC to AL over the summer.  We sold our property before the deadline for photos came in and everything we owned was in storage.  We never dreamed we would sell so quickly!  For fear of leaving someone out, we waited until we unearthed the desktop to make sure we had all of the photos.  I hope you all have hearts big enough to forgive the extension but I would never leave anyone out so I decided to put off announcing the winners.  I am happy to report that we are in our home and the desktop has been recovered so we can finalize the challenge.

To recap.. This was the kit everyone had to use:

 The prizes were:

Beginner Category Winner will receive:
75.00 Gift Certificate from Crazy Quilting Supplies
30.00 Gift Certificate to Raviolee Dreams (compliments of Nicki Seavey at RavioleeDreams)

Beginner Category Runner-Up will receive:
25.00 Gift Certificate from Crazy Quilting Supplies
4" Handmade Jane Stickle design Quilt Box (compliments of Dave Grunenwald at Quilt Boxes)
*************

50.00 Prize pkg of Handmade Oya Trims and Flowers (compliments of Rengin Kutbay Yazitas at Colors of Rengin)
Copy of Crazy Quilt Quarterly 2015 Winter Edition (compliments of Pamela Kellogg at Kitty and Me Designs)
Experienced Category Runner-Up will receive:
25.00 Gift Certificate from Crazy Quilting Supplies
4" Handmade Jane Stickle design Quilt Box (compliments of Dave Grunenwald at Quilt Boxes)

When I got in to my emails, I found that only 3 people had actually submitted photos for the challenge.  I was surprised and a little sad to see such a low number.  I know that gingham fabrics were not the normal in crazy quilting but that was what the challenge was built around.  A good challenge has us to step outside of our safe places and asks us to create within a dimension we are not used to.  To the 3 ladies who did submit photos, I salute you for stepping up and finishing. Thank you so very much for participating.

In lieu of such a low number of entries, I am going to divide the prizes a little differently.  I don't think we had a true beginner in the challenge.  Everyones work was wonderful!  I want to make sure that all 3 have as close to an equal share in the value of prizes as possible.

So let's get on with the submissions and prizes!
